CEO & Chairman Jim Walker of Octagon Research Solutions, Inc., a pioneer and leading provider of breakthrough software and services to the life sciences industry, today announced the release of the newest version of StartingPoint®. StartingPoint is Octagon's global submission document authoring template suite which is designed to offer standardized templates and formatting functionality to those authoring the various components of an eCTD (electronic Common Technical Document) regulatory submission. Specifically, this updated version offers a host of new content templates including SAP (Statistical Analysis Plan) templates.
The SAP templates assist in the formulation of Statistical Analysis Plans, which include the comprehensive and detailed descriptions of the methods of data analyses proposed for a clinical trial. These plans are developed in order to avoid post ad hoc decisions that may affect the interpretation of the statistical analysis. The new templates will allow for a standardized and uniform result across the multiple authors.
